How Often?

Well if you see new text on this page then we updated the blog. It is kind of a static page and there is no fancy way to update it, so this might change.

Episode 1 is online

Well it took longer then we hoped! Problems with google video. Keeps tell us the files failed, but no reasoning why they should. The episodes are about 60 minutes, and 1.2GB. It takes way too long to upload that amount of video only to be told that it is failed. So we have lowered the quality (of the video, the program is still top shelf stuff!) and uploaded it just so we can get it online. Not sure what google video's problem is, but hopefully this wont continue, or else we are going to have to find a better provider that will allow large uploads.

Anyways, episode 1 has a lot of the same stuff as ep0. We wern't sure if we were going to keep ep0 or not, so we wanted to rehash some of the shows we talked about. EP2 will be brand new shows...Promise!

We got rid of the green screen for this episode, we had a hard time lighting it with the spot lamps, they create too harsh of a light. Once we get some diffusing gels it should be all systems go. Not too big of a deal until we are running video clips anyways, but it is nice to have the show logo behind us. We may try a mini green screen for next week. Not sure yet.

Audio is still a bit crappy. We should have lav mics on order soon, so hopefully that will make it sound %200 better.

Keith has been ill this week, so once he is feeling better he will be updating the blogs, and chopping the video up and spreading it around the weeb.

Tuesday is the day

We will be shooting Episode 1 tomorrow night. i have been really looking forward to it all week. We are going to try and do a few things differently this week. For one we are going to lose the green screen. It is really nice to have and it makes added video and images behind us really easy, but because we have to tear down, or Strike the set, as they say, we can't afford the extra time it takes, nor the inconsistancy with the lighting. Matt spent many hours last week just trying to Key us out without losing quality of the subjects (us). So we are just going to natural, or as the french say au natural.. and use the painted wall behind us. Hey I spent hours painting this place, at least it wasn't all for not.

We can still shrink down the main video and have a video clip playing behind us., might look a little silly, but its worth a try.

Also we have a new intro for the show. I spent a few hours with a program called swish, and google and created a cute little intro. We are still waiting to finial a logo, but we have a pretty good idea of what we want now. Also Hope you like the music, I was used with permission from a local band call "We Destroy Tokyo". Hit us thier myspace page and give them some love.
